The author hooked me with book 1 of the series and it's only gotten better from there. Part 2 of Avenging Vagus was a real page turner for me and now has me anxiously awaiting for the next installment wondering were Mr. Peake will be taking Pilus Prior Pullus and his host of captivating characters. This is The first series I've read that the storyline follows a family through multiple generations. The author is a master of weaving story, action and history into every book he writes. Historical fiction at it's best!
Another good story, about Rome's revenge for the German massacre of the 3 Roman legions. I have been following the story line since the beginning. These adventures base on the Roman world during the times of Caesar have kept my interest and I have enjoyed them .
Gneus Pullus takes his place amongst his new family and all the gut wrenching moments that come with it. The fight against the ever elusive Armenius continues. Gladius and shield against the hordes and no victory is ever achieved without cost. Great book that is hard to put down.
I throughly enjoyed this installment in the series. I eagerly await the next volume covering the Pullus family. As always highly recommend book.
Enjoyed this latest in the saga of Pullus and the exploits of the Legions. More adventure and less of the family novela in next edition would be most welcome.
